You could probably set it so that you only cut the check when it get to x amount.

The risks of course are the affiliate tax tracking stuff, especially for US citizens.  

Off the cuff thinking
Do they opt in for it?   Notify the user when x amounts of content has been used via auto tweet.
From there, they could either decide to give you the legal info for payout as other affiliate ventures require (social and such for taxes) or maybe they could even opt out and pick a charity to donate the money to instead of getting a check.  You could probably even say if it is a charity, you could match the donation making it $2 per shirt sold.

Just a thought.  Nifty idea!</text>
