What if you came up with your own stuff and sold that? That would be cool. Then I wouldn't think poorly of you. Maybe you could contact my friends and ask permission to use their material, you know, _before_ you actually use their work.

We've removed the "buy now" link from the site while we work out the opt-in features. All shirts will be able to be created, but the author will need to approve a shirt to go for sale. More on that here:

Give the twitter user that posted the content a kickback, maybe $1 of the $19 that is being charged per shirt.
You could probably set it so that you only cut the check when it get to x amount.
The risks of course are the affiliate tax tracking stuff, especially for US citizens.

Provide an opt-in mechanism for tweet authors started
There is nothing wrong with the basic idea, so long as the content creators are ok with the idea and the terms. This protects everyone, and respects everyone.
This is our next step, making shirts only able to be purchased after approval from the author. In the mean time, shirt sales are disabled.

We're already working on better communication tools between ChoiceTweets and ChoiceShirts' e-commerce platform, making it easier for us to report this in real time.

Include Avatar Icon planned
Include the avatar icon of the user who said the tweet... not sure if there is any sort of rights issue here, but would be a nice add on.

Some Basic Designs planned
Nothing too crazy, but perhaps something with the twitter logo or the bird or even just a voice balloon around the words... just something to jazz is up a bit.

Support other twitter sites, like Favrd and TwitterBash
make bookmarklet work on other sites that collect good tweets, like http://www.textism.com/favrd/ and http://www.twitterbash.com

2D barcodes, enabling people to link to a tweet
Offer people the ability to add a 2D barcode to their t-shirt. This could link back to the tweet, profile or other URL. Maybe this idea will suck because of issues with resolution of the img on the shirt, but it seems like a cool way to bring the conversation from fabric to the Web.

lightweight tees please!
I dislike heavyweight tees -- which seems to be all you have. They don't have to be American Apparel, but something like that would be much cooler. IMO.
